A Very Dexter Christmas, The Videos

I know its a lot of videos but I love them all!

The balloons:

The presents:

The pups had some Christmas fun too:

A Very Dexter Christmas, The Pictures

So, this was Dex's first Christmas, and I think it was a success! He seemed to like his presents more than the wrapping paper, which in itself made Christmas a success I think. But he also got to be part of a few traditions that we have as well.

Harold's parents used to do balloons on Christmas morning every year. It started with one year when money was tight so they wanted to add to the feel of a special Christmas, without having a lot of gifts. They covered their ceiling with red and green balloons and streamers and the kids LOVED it. It turned into a yearly tradition for them and now, it is a tradition for us that started this year with Dex. Harold had to work the graveyard Christmas Eve to Christmas morning so he got home at about 7am Christmas morning, and brought 40 balloons with him. It was last minute so he didn't get red and green, but it was still perfect. Dex cried at first...I think the balloons scared him, but once I showed him they were ok, he loved them too! I can't wait to do this for many years to come.

The other tradition we have is going out for Indian food for Christmas dinner. It's odd I know, but it is mine and Harold's tradition and I love it. This year was the third year we have done it and Dex's first year (out of the belly at least).

"I Love The Baby In The Mirror!"

...And the Christmas tree!

"Hi mom!"

Look at that face!!

He loves to talk to the baby in the mirror...and I love it too!

Our "Dex proof" Christmas tree...because all the shiny objects are just too fun to resist!

I had to get creative with the fence to keep it in place...

Not quite as pretty with the fence around it, but it works

It looks crooked in this picture, but it's really not.

We almost didn't put up the tree this year because of the little monster but the fence worked and I'm glad we did!

Whole Lotta Matua

In the end of November and Beginning of December we had the pleasure of being part of two wonderful celebrations with the Matua family. Thanksgiving and Samson's blessing. Both we're wonderful occasions that I am so glad we got to be a part of.

Thanksgiving at the Matua's: (and Dex, Samson and Brooklyn's FIRST Thanksgiving!)

She's a natural

 I sure love these goofs!

 The prettiest mama I know!

You can't tell, but that is one happy fella!

Manly mens in the kitchen (both are WONDERFUL cooks! Lea and I totally scored)

So proud!

Ready for some food!

Cutest couple ever. I love these two to death!

 Siblings!

"Can't I have some of this food??"

 Love these boys!

Sibling love

And more! The Bush kids love each other with no reservations. It's amazing.

Playing some cards after dinner.

Samson's blessing was so special and I'm so glad we could be there for it. That boy has such a huge family (on both sides) that just love him to pieces. And he was blessed on Harry and I's 2nd anniversary (12/2) so I thought that was pretty cool :)

So handsome in his outfit his grandma Bush made for him!

 Aren't they just precious!?!

Some of the gang hanging out playing with the babies

 Cute cousins

This is my favorite picture. Such personality!

That is one proud papa...and he should be!

Cannon and Dex. I think they look like they could be brothers! And Larry and Trisha and the boys would totally steal Dex :)

Gabe and "Bookend"...I wish these two and their families were here more! I miss them too much.

The beautiful Matua's (minus the daughters)

Uncle Joe being silly in church and Dex sleeping...of course. He didn't put his hand there himself...his papa helped him ;)

Sweet sweet papa gave Dex his coat when we were walking back from church. I could just melt.

 Just some of the group...

Such a beautiful boy! We love you Samson!!
